How to Check the Engine Temperature

I have an 06 model with the both the select and reset switches on the handlebar rather than the reset on the console, but would think the procedure is the same.

1. Turn bike off

1. While holding the Reset switch (the righthand switch on '06 bikes), turn the bike on, and continue to hold the switch for approximately 5 seconds until "diag" appears on the clock display.

1. Keep holding the Reset switch and hold the Select switch together for approximately 5 seconds until numbers appear.

1. Scroll left or right until the function number 11 comes up, which will display the temperature. Mine is in farenheight.
